Maintenance Engineer

Summary

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to oversee the upkeep, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of all machinery and utilities in our solar PV module manufacturing facility. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, improving equipment efficiency, and ensuring smooth operation of production processes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and scheduled checks on manufacturing equipment (stringer, lay-up station, laminator, framing machine, EL tester, IV tester, etc.).
• Monitor machine performance and conduct timely repairs to minimize downtime and production delays.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs, service reports, and spare parts records.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and automation-related issues in coordination with the production team.
• Ensure proper functioning of critical utilities such as compressors, chillers, vacuum pumps, and HVAC systems.
• Implement predictive maintenance practices and continuously improve machine reliability.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers and service providers for AMC, warranty, and spare parts procurement.
• Comply with all safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
• Provide on-call support during emergencies or breakdowns, including night shifts if required.
• Train and guide junior technicians and operators on basic machine handling and minor troubleshooting.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Hands-on experience in maintaining solar PV module production lines.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Understanding of industrial safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in PV module manufacturing or similar industry preferred.
