Junior Accountant

We are an agritech innovation company called Farmkart. We are seeking an experienced senior accountant to manage and guide our accounting team. As an accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, following accounting standards, and contributing to the company's overall financial health.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (B.Com/M.Com/MBA).
• A minimum of 2-3+ years of hands-on experience in Finance and Accounting roles.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP and Tally Prime; familiarity with Zoho Books for accounting purposes.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Google Drive, and GSuite.
• Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
• Prior experience in IT, Agribusiness & E-commerce Industries.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate an exceptional understanding of accounting standards and principles.
• Prepare meticulous stock/inventory reconciliation statements.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting tasks and generate insightful MIS reports (Management Information System).
• Conduct monthly book closure while ensuring accurate expense provisions.
• Process payments post thorough invoice verification, prepare POs, and reconcile bank statements.
• Handle,  BRS (Bank Reconciliation Statement) and effectively manage cash & bank transactions.
• Conduct daily scrutiny of the day book and all expense vouchers.
• Manage staff reimbursement/travel bills with precision.
• Proficiently handle receivables and payables, vendor payments, and bill tracking & payment.
• Ensure adherence to statutory compliances including GST, TDS, TCS, PF/ESI, etc.
• Prepare and file monthly GST returns (GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B) along with GSTR2B reconciliation.
• Manage monthly TDS workings, challan payments, and quarterly filings.
• Support auditors by providing necessary reconciliations and details.
• Prepare Tax Invoices and E-Way bills efficiently.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to design and enhance accounting processes for improved efficiency and accuracy, especially concerning audits and tax filings.
• Uphold integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in all activities.
