Information Technology Officer

The IT Officer is responsible for managing and maintaining an organization's technology infrastructure. This includes providing support for hardware, software, and networks, ensuring cybersecurity, and implementing technological solutions to enhance business operations. The role requires both technical expertise and strong problem-solving skills.

Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and related hardware and software.

Monitor and troubleshoot system and network performance, ensuring minimal downtime.

Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various IT systems.

Ensure the security of IT systems by implementing and maintaining antivirus software, firewalls, and data encryption.

Conduct regular backups and ensure data recovery plans are in place.

Provide technical support to staff and resolve IT-related issues in a timely manner.

Maintain an inventory of hardware and software resources.

Assist in developing and implementing IT policies and procedures.

Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for upgrades or improvements.

Train staff on software applications and IT procedures.

Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and IT best practices.

Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and networking.

Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and enterprise software.

Good understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
