Urgently Hiring Head-Procurement manager for a leading manufacturers of Chloralkali chemicals.

Job Purpose

To lead the procurement function by developing and executing sourcing strategies for raw materials, chemicals, consumables, and services that ensure

cost-efficiency, quality, and uninterrupted production in alignment with company goals and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories, including raw materials, solvents, catalysts, packaging, and engineering supplies.
• Monitor global and domestic chemical markets to anticipate pricing trends and availability.

• Vendor & Contract Management

• Identify, assess, and develop suppliers (domestic and international).
• Lead negotiations and manage long-term agreements, ensuring favourable terms, pricing, and service levels.
• Ensure compliance with REACH, RoHS, and other regulatory guidelines in procurement contracts.

• Cost Optimization & Budgeting

• Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, vendor consolidation, and process improvements.
• Prepare and monitor procurement budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets.

• Inventory & Supply Assurance

• Collaborate with production and planning teams to maintain optimum stock levels while minimising working capital.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production disruptions.

• Team Leadership & Process Improvement

• Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team.
• Drive digitalisation and automation of procurement processes using ERP (SAP/Oracle).

• Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and company compliance standards.
• Identify risks in the supply chain and implement contingency plans.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Supply Chain; MBA preferred.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within the chemical/process/manufacturing industry.
• Familiarity with global sourcing, customs regulations, and import/export documentation.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office.

• Procurement lead time reduction
• Inventory turnover improvement
• Compliance audit results
