COMPANY: Leading Multinational Manufacturer POSITION: Head of Innovation LOCATION: Vietnam SALARY : USD 15,000 + Benefits OVERVIEW: Our client is seeking a visionary and experienced Head of Innovation to lead product innovation across their denim, chinos, and five-pocket jeans categories. This strategic role is responsible for driving next-generation product development, sustainable innovations, material R&D, and process enhancements to maintain our position as a market leader in casual bottom wear. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in fabrics, wash techniques, fit engineering, and industry trends while fostering a culture of innovation and cross-functional collaboration. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Innovation Leadership: Develop and execute the innovation roadmap across denim, chinos, and five-pocket jeans. Drive product and process innovation to meet evolving customer expectations, focusing on sustainability, performance, and design. Scout and integrate cutting-edge technologies and treatments (e.g., laser finishing, waterless dyeing, anti-odor, stretch recovery). 2.Product Development & R&D: Collaborate closely with design, merchandising, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to prototype and commercialize innovative product concepts. Explore new fiber blends, sustainable fabrics, and eco-friendly finishes relevant to casual bottoms. Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to identify white space opportunities. 3.Fabric & Wash Expertise: Lead fabric innovation with mills and suppliers; ensure alignment with seasonal and long-term brand strategy. Guide development of wash standards, fit blocks, and finishing processes. Maintain in-depth understanding of shrinkage, fabric behavior, and durability. 4.Supplier & Partner Collaboration: Build and manage partnerships with mills, technology providers, and laundries to access the latest capabilities. Participate in trade shows, textile fairs, and innovation forums to stay ahead of industry developments. 5.Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing innovation team. Foster a test-and-learn culture within the organization, encouraging creative thinking and agile prototyping. PRE - REQUISITES: - 12+ years of experience in product innovation or development roles, preferably in denim, chinos, or casual bottom wear. - Strong technical knowledge of denim and woven bottoms—including construction, dyeing, washes, and finishing. -Proven track record of launching innovative, commercially successful products.
