STAGE is India’s first OTT platform dedicated to dialect-based content. We bring hyper-local stories, music, and entertainment to millions of users in their mother tongues—starting with Haryanvi, Rajasthani, and Bhojpuri. We’re on a mission to build India’s biggest platform for dialect-based storytelling, and design plays a crucial role in how users experience this revolution.

Role Overview

Head of Design – Product

Key Responsibilities

● Lead a growing team of product designers.

● Champion a culture of design thinking and user empathy across the company.

● Define the overall product design strategy aligned with STAGE’s brand and user needs.

● Ensure consistency in UI/UX across Android, iOS, Web, and Smart TV platforms.

● Translate complex ideas and user needs into elegant, intuitive,and accessible design solutions.

● Drive usability testing, user research, and rapid prototyping to iterate quickly.

● Manage STAGE’s design system and brand guidelines for digital products.

Requirements

● 8+ years of experience in UI/UX/Product Design with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

● Strong portfolio showcasing mobile-first and OTT product design.

● Deep understanding of user behavior in video streaming/consumer internet products.

● Experience working with cross-functional teams in agile environments.

● Fluency in modern design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, etc.).

● Strong storytelling and presentation skills.

● Passion for regional content, culture, and user behavior in Bharat (tier-2, tier-3 India) is a big plus.

● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.

Nice-to-Have

● Prior experience in an OTT, entertainment, or content-driven product.

● Familiarity with design for Smart TV or other non-standard screen experiences.

● Understanding of Indian dialects, user diversity, and local content consumption patterns.
