EssentiallySports is a top 10 sports media platform in the U.S., generating over a billion pageviews a year and 30m+ monthly active users per month. Responsibilities

• Owning significant architectural and product areas of the platform
• You’ll make the key decisions and see them through to successful user engagement
• Delivering features that make a big impact on our growth journey
• Writing high-quality, highly-performant code
• Pushing changes every week day
• Participating in code reviews and architectural discussions - we want you to bring your expertise to the team and make us all better engineers
• Building Ad hoc scripts/tools using the technology of your choice to optimize organization operations using tech
• Take full ownership of your work, and take responsibility for every last detail, every step of the way.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software development experience in consumer products
• Someone who spends time thinking about product experience as much as they do thinking about language framework
• Have an awareness about NextJS and Vercel, or intent to pick them up.
• Collaborative and want to see the team succeed in its goals
• Practical about tradeoffs between speed and polish
• Passionate about showing others how to do something new
• Problem solving, proactive and solution oriented mindset, to spot opportunities and use code to fix it
• Ability to thrive in startups with a fast-paced environment and take ownership for working through ambiguity
