EV Charger Manager – Charger Manufacturing Industry

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced EV Charger Manufacturing Quality Manager to lead our product and process quality functions. The ideal candidate must come from the EV Charger, Automotive, or Electronics hardware manufacturing sector, and be well-versed in IATF 16949:2016, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and other core quality processes.

This is a critical leadership role that involves managing supplier quality, field failures, customer complaints, compliance audits, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Quality:

Evaluate and qualify component suppliers in collaboration with Vendor Development.

Conduct site audits and ensure supplier compliance to quality standards.

Improve supplier processes and onboarding of new vendors/subcontractors.

Product & Process Quality:

Analyze in-process failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Investigate field failures and lead root cause analysis with internal teams.

Take decisive actions like stop-ship/stop-production on suspect products.

Quality Systems & Documentation:

Create and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams.

Oversee PPAP submissions, MSA, and calibration of measurement instruments.

Maintain and track nonconformance reports (NCPRs), 8D problem-solving reports.

Customer Quality Management:

Interact with customers for complaint handling, product feedback, PPAP approvals, and engineering changes (ECNs/PCNs).

Work with Marketing & Sales teams to ensure compliance with statutory and safety standards.

Audits & Compliance:

Plan and execute internal, supplier, and process audits.

Ensure full compliance with IATF 16949:2016 and Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs).

Conduct risk assessments and PFMEA for rework/repair/deviations.

Continuous Improvement:

Drive Lean tools and initiatives: 5S, Kaizen, SPC, RCA, and more.

Use statistical tools (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk) for process capability improvements.

Lead cross-functional teams to resolve systemic quality issues.

Must to have:

Degree or Diploma in ECE or equivalent.

10–15+ years of experience in EV Charger, Automotive, or Electronics manufacturing.

Strong command of quality systems: IATF 16949, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA.

Proven experience handling field complaints, supplier quality, and audits.

Strong leadership, team coordination, and analytical skills.

Proficient in English and Hindi (mandatory); Telugu is a plus.
