Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with a strong background in microservices development using Spring Boot and Kafka in the Investment Banking domain.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and passionate about building scalable, secure, and high-performance back-end systems for financial applications.You will be working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that values strong technical skills, problem-solving, and domain knowledge.This role involves close collaboration with business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based Java applications using Spring Boot.
  • Build and integrate RESTful APIs and manage asynchronous communication using Kafka.
  • Participate in system architecture, design discussions, and performance tuning.
  • Work on application components involving event-driven architectures, including CQRS and SAGA patterns.
  • Collaborate with UI developers, QA teams, and DevOps for end-to-end delivery.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
  • Write efficient, reusable, and testable code; ensure code quality through unit and integration testing.
  • Maintain source code repositories (Bitbucket/Git), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Maven), and documentation (Confluence/JIRA).

Must-Have Skills

Backend / Core Technologies :

  • Core Java, Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud
  • Kafka for message streaming and event-driven architecture
  • RESTful API design and implementation
  • Experience with CI/CD tools : Maven, Git, Jenkins
  • Proficiency with IDEs: Eclipse or IntelliJ IDEA

Investment Banking Domain

  • Strong understanding of investment banking workflows, trading systems, order management, or post-trade processes.
  • Experience working on systems dealing with high-volume, low-latency, and secure transaction processing
