Job Description

The Cyber-security Director is responsible for leading the organization's cybersecurity strategy, governance, and operations to ensure the protection of sensitive information, compliance with regulatory requirements, and mitigation of risks associated with cyber threats. This role requires close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to build a robust security framework and foster a culture of security awareness across the organization.


Cybersecurity Governance

  • Develop and maintain the organization's cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures. o Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).

Risk Management

  • Lead risk assessments to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and ensure implementation across the organization.

Operational Security

  • Oversee incident response planning and execution, including forensics and root cause analysis.
  • Ensure real-time monitoring, detection, and response to cyber threats.

Strategic Planning

  • Align cybersecurity strategy with the organization's business goals.
  • Drive innovation in security practices and adopt new technologies to enhance defenses.

Team Management

  • Build the cybersecurity function from the ground up, including defining team structure, hiring qualified professionals, establishing workflows, and ensuring the necessary tools and technologies are in place.
  • Lead, operate, and continuously develop the cybersecurity team to achieve a mature and proactive security posture.
  • Set clear objectives and performance targets for the cybersecurity team.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a high-performance and results-oriented culture. 6. Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Collaborate with senior management and key stakeholders to promote security initiatives.
  • Support and guide the infrastructure and network teams to ensure alignment with cybersecurity objectives, enabling mutual collaboration in securing the organization's environment.
  • Manage relationships with external partners, vendors, and regulatory bodies.

Training and Awareness

  • Lead organization-wide security awareness programs.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and threats to ensure a proactive security posture.

Global Accountability

  • Assume global accountability for the organization's cybersecurity posture, ensuring consistent application of security standards and practices across all regions and business units.
