We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer (L1) with 6 months to 1 year of experience to provide first-level technical support to end-users. The role involves diagnosing and resolving issues related to desktops, laptops, software, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices. Responsibilities include responding to service desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution within defined SLAs, and escalating complex issues to higher support levels with proper documentation. The candidate should be skilled in hardware troubleshooting, OS and application support, basic networking, patching, and cabling. Additional tasks include maintaining asset inventory, coordinating with vendors for hardware replacements, and updating shift handovers and reports. Strong communication, customer service orientation, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for this role. Experience in handling Wi-Fi connectivity and hands-on support for handheld devices is a plus. The position requires adherence to escalation procedures and collaboration with internal IT teams for seamless issue resolution.
