Desktop Support Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to provide technical assistance and support to end-users regarding computer systems, hardware, and software. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot issues, install applications, and ensure smooth operation of IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Install, configure, and maintain Windows / Mac OS / Linux systems as per company standards. Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and security issues efficiently. Respond to user queries via calls, emails, or ticketing systems within SLAs. Maintain inventory records of IT assets and update documentation regularly. Setup and configure new user accounts and profiles. Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs and warranty claims. Assist in system upgrades, patch management, and backups. Ensure data security and compliance with IT policies. Provide remote support to branch or field users when required. Key Skills and QualificationsBachelor’s degree / Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Strong knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, and common enterprise applications. Familiarity with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and basic networking concepts. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail. Certifications (Preferred): CompTIA A+, Microsoft MCSA/MCITP, ITIL Foundation.
