Job Title: Desktop Engineer Location: [Noida Sec - 63] Department: IT / Support Reports To: IT Manager / Technical Lead Summary: We are seeking a skilled Desktop Engineer to provide efficient, reliable, and timely support for desktop-related hardware and software systems. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot issues, manage deployments, and ensure the seamless operation of end-user computing environments. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, operating systems, and software applications. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues on desktops and laptops. Provide technical support to end-users via helpdesk tickets, email, or in-person. Manage OS updates, patches, and security configurations to ensure system integrity. Assist with the setup and deployment of new desktops and peripherals. Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets. Document procedures, issues, and resolutions for future reference. Coordinate with the IT team for infrastructure upgrades and changes. Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. Proven experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or similar role. Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and possibly Linux operating systems. Familiarity with Active Directory, Exchange, and remote support tools. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Skills: Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or similar. Experience with imaging and deployment tools (e.g., SCCM, MDT). Knowledge of security best practices and endpoint protection.
