Job Summary:

L2 Data Center Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and support Cisco Routing and Switching infrastructure.
Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Cisco Nexus platforms (5K, 7K, 9K).
Deploy and manage Cisco
ACI
fabric infrastructure.
Operate and administer
Nexus Dashboard
and integrate with monitoring/telemetry tools.
Work with
VXLAN/EVPN
overlays in large-scale data center environments.
Support application delivery through
load balancers
(F5, Citrix, etc.).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network design and implementation.
Assist in the deployment of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
Perform L2-level incident management, root cause analysis, and documentation.
Monitor and ensure network performance, availability, and capacity planning.

Required Skills & Experience:

2–4 years
of relevant experience in Data Center networking and operations.
Strong hands-on knowledge in:
Cisco Routing and Switching
Cisco Nexus (5k/7k/9k)
Cisco ACI architecture and operations
Nexus Dashboard
VXLAN/EVPN technologies
Load Balancers
(F5, Citrix or equivalent)
Virtualization platforms
(VMware preferred)
Good understanding of Layer 2/3 networking concepts and data center topologies.
Familiarity with monitoring and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python – good to have).
CCNA/CCNP (DC/R&S) certification preferred.

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to work in shifts or provide on-call support if needed.
