Project Name: Reckitt Global Hygiene Institute (RGHI) Position Code: IIPHG/REC/2025-26/22 Position Title: Consultant No. of Posts: 01 (One) Location: IIPHG Duration of Position: 11 Months Brief On The Organization Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) is a University established under IIPHG Act, 2015 of Gujarat State. It offers courses in the field of Public Health. It also undertakes various research projects in the field of Public Health. The university is established by Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) with support from the Government of Gujarat, Department of Health & Family Welfare. Project Brief The maternal mortality ratio (MMR) in several low-middle-income countries (LMIC) is alarming; India represents almost 20% of maternal deaths worldwide. Child mortality is also high, as maternal health is strongly linked to child survival. Evidence suggests that, maternal infections are a significant contributor to both severe maternal morbidity and mortality. Healthcare-associated infections play a significant role in the incidence of sepsis within hospital settings. This highlights the importance of infection prevention and control measures, within healthcare facilities, to reduce the risk of sepsis. This project aims to enhance maternal and neonatal health through a multifaceted approach, i.e. need assessment, literature review and development of training modules. It aspires to contribute to a broader narrative of sustainable and culturally sensitive healthcare. By engaging with the community, drawing on global best practices, and developing tailored training, we shall impact outcomes. Deliverables  Develop a comprehensive project plan outlining the timelines, milestones, and key activities to be undertaken.  Coordinate with the PI and Co-PI for smoothly undertake the project activities, logistics management, data collection, and report writing.  Coordination with the project team and assisting in the field implementation.  Data Analysis and Report Writing.  Monitor the progress and ensure timely submission of reports and completion of the project activities.  Any other activities as assigned by the PI or supervisor. Qualification : BHMS, BAMS, BDS, BPT with postgraduate in public health (Two years)/Masters in Hospitals/health care management or any relevant field. Desirable: Health Graduate MPH Experience : About 02 to 03 years of experience in public health. Desirable: Experience of working with government and international organizations.
