Job Title: Design Engineer

Location: Bavla, Ahmedabad

Experience: 2–3 Years

Employment Type: Full-Time

• Key Responsibilities:-

Create and manage detailed 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings with complete GD&T, primarily for plastic parts and gear-based assemblies.

Design plastic gears from scratch, including performance calculations, tolerance planning, and manufacturability.

Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including:

Engineering drawings with proper revision tracking

Bill of Materials (BOM) with all required data

Gear design calculation reports

Material specifications for plastics

Tolerance stack-up analysis

DFM assessments

Engineering Change Notes (ECNs)

Take full responsibility for file management and revision control, ensuring design data is clean, traceable, and production ready.

Actively support on-ground activities—must be willing to work on the shop floor when required for validation, troubleshooting, and coordination with toolroom, molding, and QC teams.

• Required Skills: -

Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

Strong command of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and mechanical design best practices.

Hands-on experience with plastic part design, including DFM/DFA principles for injection molding.

Proven experience with gear design, particularly in plastics.

Disciplined approach to file and version management within a production-oriented setup.

• Qualifications: -

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastic Engineering, or related field.

2–3 years of experience in product or component design for plastic-based manufacturing.
