Job Description

Job Summary:


Chiller & Heat Pump Design Engineer / Manager


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the

    design and development

    of HVAC chillers and heat pumps (air-cooled, water-cooled, and low-temperature applications).
  • Configure and design chiller packages, including

    scroll and screw-based heat pumps

    .
  • Select and size components such as

    compressors, heat exchangers (Shell & Tube), valves, etc.

  • Perform thermal and mechanical analysis using simulation and design tools.
  • Support prototype building, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure product designs comply with

    AHRI, BEE, ASHRAE, ASME, and NABL

    standards.
  • Support the qualification and certification of products, including documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing.
  • Benchmark competitive products and contribute to continuous improvement in cost and energy efficiency.
  • Stay current with

    technological advancements and industry trends

    .


Preferred Qualifications & Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–8 years of experience in HVAC equipment design and development.
  • Strong understanding of

    HVAC systems and their application

    across different domains.
  • Knowledge of

    product standards, certifications, and compliance requirements

    .
  • Hands-on experience with

    CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)

    and simulation tools (

    ANSYS, EES, or similar

    ).
  • Familiarity with

    AHRI certification

    process and test procedures.
  • Basic understanding of

    Lean or Agile product development methodologies

    .
  • Good communication, documentation, and team collaboration skills.
