Associate Professor- Interaction Design

Academic Leadership

• Lead the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Interaction Design.
• Ensure curriculum remains current, relevant, and aligned with industry needs and academic standards.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration with departments such as Computer Science, Psychology, Architecture, and Digital Humanities.
• Promote excellence in teaching, learning, and student experience.

People & Culture

• Manage, mentor, and support academic and technical staff within the department.
• Promote an inclusive, collaborative, and innovative departmental culture.
• Lead performance reviews, faculty development, and succession planning.

External Engagement & Partnerships

• Develop and maintain partnerships with industry, government, cultural institutions, and alumni.
• Represent the department in university-wide forums and external academic and professional networks.
• Lead initiatives that connect students with real-world projects, internships, and community engagement.

Research & Innovation

• Provide strategic direction for research within the department, encouraging high-impact scholarship and creative practice.
• Support staff in pursuing funded research projects, publications, and exhibitions.
• Strengthen the department’s research culture and increase its visibility locally and internationally.
