Job Description

ROLE

A Logistics Assistant Manager (AM/SE) is responsible for supporting the overall management of a company's logistics operations. This includes overseeing the movement, distribution, and storage of goods, as well as managing warehouse staff and ensuring efficient operations. AM/SE also play a key role in optimizing logistics processes, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining high levels of customer service.


RESPONSIBIITY

  • Managing and coordinating the entire logistics process, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, from procurement to delivery
  • Ensuring accurate inventory control, managing stock levels, and optimizing storage space.
  • Supervising warehouse staff, managing warehouse operations, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Coordinating transportation providers, optimizing routes, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
  • Addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Training, coaching, and motivating warehouse staff to achieve performance targets.
  • Identifying opportunities to optimize logistics operations and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Negotiating with suppliers, managing relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods.


Skills & Qualification

  • Strong understanding of logistics principles, processes, and best practices.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues related to logistics operations.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop solutions for improvement.
  • Ability to motivate, coach, and manage a team of logistics professionals.
  • Ability to negotiate with suppliers and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • BE/B. Tech in EE/Mechatronics/Mechanical/Graduate & MBA
  • Min. 8+yrs of Work-ex with 05 yrs of relevant exp. in Logistics
  • Thorough knowledge of ERP (SAP or any other)
  • Should have led at least 1 project single handedly in logistics.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with relevant logistics software and tools.
  • Well versed with MS office
  • Maintaining all documents related to IATF, ISO 9000, HSE.
  • Documentation (Customer invoicing, E waybill, Warranty)
  • Inter plant invoicing
