Position 1 - Assistant Manager HR & IR

Location: Vijayawada

Experience: 7+ Years in HR & IR


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager HR & IR to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Human Resources and Industrial Relations within the Thermal Power Plant sector or similar industries. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills in Telugu and be capable of managing compliance, statutory requirements, and IR activities effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Management: Oversee end-to-end HR functions including recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, and HR policies.
  • Industrial Relations: Manage union negotiations, collective bargaining, and maintain healthy employer-employee relations.
  • Compliance & Statutory Requirements: Ensure adherence to statutory obligations related to PF, ESI, Insurance, and other labor laws.
  • Contract Workers & Labour Management: Supervise engagement, welfare, and compliance of contract workers.
  • Union & Labour Disputes: Address and resolve union issues, grievances, and disputes in a timely manner.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Prepare and submit required reports to statutory authorities.
  • Training & Development: Facilitate training programs related to HR policies, IR, and statutory compliance.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop HR & IR team for effective functioning.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in HR & IR, preferably in Thermal Power Plants or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory compliance related to PF, ESI, Insurance, and Labour Laws.
  • Proven experience in managing union relationships and labour disputes.
  • Excellent communication skills in Telugu (spoken and written) is mandatory.
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.

Experience:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day administrative operations to ensure smooth functioning of the plant/site.
  • Maintain and update MIS reports related to attendance, gate passes, vendor activities, and other administrative data.
  • Oversee time office activities, including attendance tracking, leave management, and shift schedules.
  • Handle gate pass issuance and management for employees, contract workers, and visitors, ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols.
  • Coordinate with vendors for procurement, service requests, and contract management.
  • Manage contract workers' attendance, onboarding, and exit formalities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and organizational policies.
  • Support in organizing meetings, events, and other administrative tasks as required.
  • Maintain effective communication with all departments and external vendors.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Admin and MIS functions, ideally in Thermal Power Plants or similar heavy industries.
  • Proven experience in managing contract workers, gate passes, attendance, and vendor coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of administrative procedures and MIS reporting.
  • Good understanding of safety, security, and HR policies related to plant operations.
  • Excellent communication skills in Telugu (mandatory) and English.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant MIS software.

Must Have:

  • Fluency in Telugu (spoken and written).
  • Experience in managing contract workers and vendor relationships.
  • Hands-on experience with gate pass and attendance management systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Graduation in any discipline; additional certification in admin or MIS is a plus.
  • Prior experience working in a power plant or industrial environment.
