Job Title - Business Development Manager
Products to handle - Natural Marble, Kalinga, Terrazzo, Porcelain Surfaces
Job Location - Madurai
About the company - Leading player in the building material segment
Position Summary: The BDM will be responsible for driving business growth
across the company's diverse portfolio, including Natural Marble, Kalinga, Terrazzo, and Porcelain Surfaces. This individual will work closely with Architects, Interior Designers (and, if required, contractors), and Channel Partners to build long-lasting relationships and ensure market expansion. As a key player in expanding the product lines, the ASM will focus on creating new business opportunities, fostering partnerships, managing key accounts, and executing growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Market Expansion:
o Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company'sproduct offerings within the specified regions (Natural Marble, Kalinga,Terrazzo, Porcelain Surfaces).o Build and execute strategic plans to drive growth and market presence acrossthese product lines, ensuring alignment with broader company objectives.o Generate business through Architects, Interior Designers& if required withContractors, Builders.o Generate business through Channel Sales by presenting the products,securing specifications, and influencing product selection for projects.
2. Client Relationship & Account Management:
o Develop strong, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring ongoingsatisfaction and retention.o Oversee key account management to drive repeat business and client loyalty.
3. Sales Strategy & Execution:
o Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, and product) to developsales strategies, promotional campaigns, and pricing models that supportbusiness objectives.o Manage the sales process, from lead generation to contract signing, ensuringtimely follow-up and closing of deals.o Track and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitoractivities to adjust business strategies and enhance the company's market positioning.
4. Team Management & Collaboration:
o Lead and manage a team of Business Development Executives (BDEs) tomeet business development targets and sales goals.o Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to ensure the team effectivelyrepresents the company's products and services.o Foster a collaborative environment within the team and across departments toachieve organizational goals.
5. Sales Support & Client Retention:
o Oversee Pre-installation guidance & post-installation services, ensuring clientsatisfaction and addressing any complaints or issues promptly.o Monitor customer feedback and initiate corrective actions to improvecustomer retention and product satisfaction.o Strengthen client relationships through consistent follow-ups and tailoredsupport to ensure long-term business success.
6. Revenue & Financial Management:
o Develop and manage budgets for business development activities, ensuringcost-effective strategies and maximized revenue generation.o Work towards achieving sales targets, fostering the growth of productlines, and ensuring profitable outcomes.
7. Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis:
o Stay updated on market trends, customer preferences, and competitorstrategies to continuously refine and improve business development tactics.o Use data insights and feedback to anticipate market shifts and adjust strategiesproactively.
