Area Sales Manager (ASM)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts in designated territories. This role is pivotal in driving business growth through effective sales strategies and team management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales and business development, with the ability to negotiate and manage key accounts while fostering relationships with clients.

Duties

• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives within the region.
• Manage a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance performance.
• Identify new market opportunities and drive business development initiatives to expand the customer base.
• Negotiate contracts and close deals with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and tactics.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to align promotional efforts with sales goals.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and performance metrics using relevant software tools.
• Conduct regular meetings with the sales team to review progress, address challenges, and celebrate successes.

Experience

• Proven experience in sales management or a similar role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Strong business development skills with the ability to identify opportunities for growth.
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex client relationships effectively.
• Experience in inside sales or direct sales environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with CRM software and other sales management tools is essential.
• Strong analytical skills to assess market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organization.
