Architect - Urban Designer

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and analysis to inform urban design and planning projects.
• Create comprehensive design plans, including site layouts, landscaping, and infrastructure integration.
• Engage with community members and stakeholders to gather input and foster collaboration on planning initiatives.
• Prepare presentations and reports to communicate design concepts and policies to clients and public officials.
• Monitor project implementation and make adjustments to plans as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure cohesive project development.
• Stay current with urban design trends, policies, and best practices.
  

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of urban planning and design principles.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical skills to conduct site assessments and environmental impact studies.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of zoning laws, land use regulations, and environmental policies.
• Creative problem-solving skills to address urban challenges and develop innovative design solutions.
