Position Title: Active Directory and VMware Specialist

Experience : 10 years +

Location : Kolkata, WB, India

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Active Directory and VMware professional with over 10

years of hands-on experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing,

maintaining, and optimizing our Active Directory infrastructure and VMware environment.

This role requires a deep understanding of enterprise-level IT systems, strong

troubleshooting skills, and the ability to implement robust solutions to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Active Directory (AD):

 Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise Active Directory infrastructure, including

multi-domain and multi-forest environments.

 Manage and maintain Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, and FSMO roles.

 Oversee and enhance authentication mechanisms, including Kerberos, NTLM, and

modern protocols like OAuth2 and SAML.

 Implement and support Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and Azure AD

for hybrid cloud environments.

 Perform routine health checks, audits, and remediation tasks to ensure AD

environment integrity and security.

 Hands on experienced in Linux (RedHat , Ubuntu and Cent OS.

VMware:

 Design, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi environments for

enterprise workloads.

 Implement and manage advanced features like vMotion, HA, DRS, and SRM for

disaster recovery and fault tolerance.

 Optimize VMware resources, ensuring efficient utilization of CPU, memory, storage,

and networking.

 Manage VMware Horizon or other VDI solutions (if applicable).

VMware Infrastructure Management:

 Design, implement, and manage VMware environments, including vSphere, vCenter,

and ESXi.

 Configure and optimize advanced features such as vMotion, HA (High Availability),

DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler), and VMware clustering.

 Administer and troubleshoot virtual machines, templates, snapshots, and resource

pools.

 Oversee VMware Horizon or other virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions (if

applicable).

 Maintain and troubleshoot VMware clusters, virtual machines, and templates.

General IT Infrastructure:

 Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, and integration projects.

 Collaborate with security teams to implement identity and access management

solutions.

 Provide Level 3 support for Active Directory and VMware-related incidents.

 Develop and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks, configurations,

and change management records.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

 Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information

Technology, or a related field.

 Certifications:

o Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, MCSA/MCSE (Active

Directory focus).

o VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or higher.

 Technical Expertise:

o Extensive experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, and hybrid identity

solutions.

o Hands on Experience in AWS environment.

o In-depth knowledge of VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, and associated

tools.

o Strong understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, and VPN

configurations.

o Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Ansible or other

relevant tools.
