Job Description

Summary:

The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks including purchase, sales, payments, and reconciliations. They ensure statutory compliance with GST, TDS, EPF, and ESI regulations while coordinating with auditors and vendors. Proficiency in Tally Prime and MS Office, along with timely financial reporting, is key to supporting business decisions.


Position Overview:

The Accounts Executive plays a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, statutory compliance, and financial reporting. They handle GST and TDS filings, manage vendor and bank communications, and support the finance team in delivering key reports such as Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong foundation in accounting and finance operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing day-to-day accounting operations, including Purchase, Sales, Payment, and Receipt entries.
  • Ensuring GST compliance through timely preparation and filing of GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and GSTR-9 returns.
  • Handling monthly statutory payments and return filings for TDS, GST, EPF, ESI, and Professional Tax (PT).
  • Performing bank reconciliations and reconciling accounts with sundry creditors and debtors.
  • Deducting TDS in compliance with the Income Tax Act for contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and others, and remitting the same within statutory deadlines.
  • Conducting quarterly TDS e-filing (Form 24Q & 26Q) and generating Form 16 & 16A via TRACES portal.
  • Proficient in Tally, including setup, configuration, and regular use for financial accounting.
  • Coordinating with vendors for timely payments and clarifying account discrepancies through ledger reconciliation.
  • Liaising with auditors to ensure timely completion of statutory audits and other compliance requirements.
  • Managing bank-related activities, including the use of corporate internet banking for transactions.
  • Preparing and submitting MIS reports to assist management in strategic decision-making.
  • Compiling and presenting Profit & Loss statements and Balance Sheets on a monthly and quarterly basis.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-3 years in Accounts and Finance Background.
  • Proficiency in Tally Prime accounting software.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Familiarity with GST, TDS, EPF, ESI, and other statutory compliance processes.
  • Experience in preparing financial reports like Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets.
