Job Description

Shree Bafna Public School is seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to manage the school's financial transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail. Responsibilities: Maintain Accurate Financial Records: Record all financial transactions accurately and efficiently, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities. Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, make payments to vendors, and track and collect outstanding payments from parents or other sources. Prepare Financial Statements and Reports: Generate timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, as required. Assist in Budget Preparation and Monitoring: Support the school administration in the preparation of the annual budget and monitor expenditures against the budget. Ensure Compliance with Financial Regulations: Adhere to all relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and school policies. Handle Bank Reconciliations: Regularly reconcile bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy. Process Payroll: Prepare and process employee payroll accurately and on time, including deductions and statutory requirements. Manage Petty Cash: Handle petty cash disbursements and maintain accurate records. Prepare Tax Returns and Other Statutory Filings: Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns and other statutory reports. Maintain Organized Filing Systems: Ensure proper organization and maintenance of all financial documents and records. Assist with Audits: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits. Communicate Effectively: Interact professionally with school staff, vendors, and parents regarding financial matters. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in a school or educational institution . Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel). Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High level of integrity and confidentiality. Also, able to handle State portal matters.
