Job Description: WordPress Developer (API, AI Tools & Plugins Specialist)

Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer to join Alkemy Edtech and take ownership of our WordPress ecosystem. In this role, you’ll develop and manage WordPress websites and learning management systems (LMS), integrating APIs, AI tools, and plugins to enhance functionality and user experience. Working a six-day week, you’ll play a pivotal role in advancing our digital infrastructure, enabling seamless access to educational content and supporting our mission to empower learners with future-ready skills.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and LMS platformsto deliver Alkemy Edtech’s training programs.
• Integrate APIs (e.g., RESTful APIs, payment gateways, third-party services) to enhance platform functionality and streamline operations.
• Implement and customize AI tools and plugins (e.g., AI Engine, ChatGPT integrations, or custom AI solutions) to enable features like automated content generation, chatbots, or personalized learning experiences.
• Create and modify custom WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to meet specific educational and business needs.
• Optimize WordPress sites for performance, security, and SEO, ensuring fast, reliable, and accessible platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress core, APIs, plugins, or hosting environments.
• Collaborate with marketing, content, and tech teams to integrate digital assets and ensure a cohesive user experience.
• Stay current with WordPress updates, API trends, and AI advancements to keep our platforms innovative and competitive.
• Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of experience as a WordPress Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing custom WordPress projects.
• Proven expertise in API integration (e.g., REST APIs, OAuth, third-party services like Google or payment systems).
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and plugins for WordPress (e.g., AI content generators, chatbots, or analytics tools).
• Advanced proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL for custom WordPress development.
• Familiarity with WordPress LMS platforms and e-commerce solutions (e.g., WooCommerce).
• Strong understanding of web performance optimization, security practices (e.g., WP hardening), and SEO principles.
• Experience with hosting environments (e.g., AWS, Bluehost) and version control (e.g., Git).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Willingness to commit to a six-day work week (Monday to Saturday).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
