Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Winding Engineer to oversee the coil winding operations in transformer manufacturing. This role involves supervising the winding of LV and HV coils, ensuring adherence to design specifications, optimizing processes, and maintaining high-quality and safety standards across production.

Key Responsibilities:1. Coil Winding Operations:

• Plan and supervise winding of LV and HV coils (copper or aluminum) for power and distribution transformers.
• Ensure execution as per design drawings, winding schedules, and technical specifications.
• Manage layer winding, disc winding, helical winding, and other methods depending on transformer rating.

2. Process Control:

• Monitor tension, insulation placement, turn counts, and interlayer insulation during winding.
• Ensure accurate dimension control and mechanical integrity of windings.
• Prevent winding errors such as shorted turns, misalignments, or insulation damage.

3. Equipment & Tools Handling:

• Operate and maintain winding machines (manual, semi-auto, or CNC-controlled).
• Ensure proper functioning of tensioning systems, conductor guides, and insulation feeders.

4. Quality Assurance:

• Inspect in-process windings for conformity to design and standards (IEC, IS, ANSI, etc.).
• Coordinate with QC to resolve non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Verify coil testing results such as DC resistance, insulation resistance, and dimensional checks.

5. Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of winding parameters, coil data sheets, and production logs.
• Report daily production, downtime, and quality issues to the production head.

6. Material Management:

• Monitor conductor and insulation material usage to minimize waste.
• Ensure timely availability of materials as per job orders.

7. Safety & 5S Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures while handling winding machines and insulation materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace in line with 5S and lean manufacturing principles.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in transformer coil winding (oil-immersed or dry type).
• Good understanding of winding types, insulation systems, and electrical clearances.

Skills & Competencies:

• Ability to read and interpret winding schedules and electrical drawings.
• Hands-on experience with winding machines and measuring tools.
• Detail-oriented with strong quality consciousness.
• Problem-solving skills and team coordination.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
