Vision Systems Assistant manager

Job Purpose:

To lead the design, development, integration, and implementation of machine vision systems and robotic solutions for industrial automation projects across verticals like automotive, auto ancillaries, packaging, pharma warehousing, and utilities. The role ensures successful delivery of turnkey automation systems, aligning with project KPIs, customer requirements, and innovation roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

• Design, develop, and validate vision-based inspection and measurement systems using platforms like Cognex, Keyence, Omron, or similar.
• Lead deployment and integration of industrial robotic arms (ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, Mitsubishi, etc.) for pick-and-place, assembly, packaging, or inspection applications.
• Guide the team in robot programming, vision algorithm tuning, and PLC/HMI integration.
• Ensure alignment with safety standards (CE/ISO) and factory automation protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, OPC-UA).

Project Management

• Collaborate with Sales & Pre-sales team to provide technical support during proposal, budgeting, and client demo stages.
• Create and manage project timelines, resource plans, and milestones specific to robotics and vision scope.
• Ensure timely delivery, system performance validation, and customer acceptance.

Team Development

• Lead and mentor engineers and technicians in robotics, vision tuning, and integration methodologies.
• Conduct skill-gap analysis and facilitate technical training in-house or through OEMs.

Vendor & OEM Coordination

• Coordinate with OEMs for vision components, robot hardware, firmware updates, and technical support.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).

Innovation & Documentation

• Explore new tools in AI-enabled vision systems and cobots.
• Contribute to design documentation, testing protocols, and ISO-related technical records.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹66,000.00 - ₹83,000.00 per month
