Business Development Manager – FTL & PTL (Logistics) Bangalore Location: Bangalore Experience: 5–8 years in logistics/supply chain sales Industry: Logistics / Transportation / Supply Chain Function: Business Development / Sales Role Objective: To drive business growth by acquiring and managing direct FTL and PTL customers, ensuring consistent revenue through long-term contracts and spot bookings in the Bangalore region. Key Responsibilities: Identify and onboard new direct FTL (Full Truck Load) and PTL (Part Truck Load) clients across industries. Develop and execute a sales pipeline strategy focused on revenue generation through B2B logistics contracts. Build relationships with manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and SMEs requiring intercity cargo movement. Understand customer logistics requirements and offer customized transport solutions. Collaborate with operations and fleet teams to ensure efficient and timely service delivery. Negotiate rates and contracts, ensuring competitive pricing and profitability. Meet monthly and quarterly sales targets across freight types (FTL/PTL). Maintain CRM entries, sales reports, and customer feedback loops. Required Experience: 5+ years of B2B sales experience in logistics, especially in FTL/PTL verticals. Strong network with shippers, SMEs, and industrial clients in Bangalore and surrounding areas. Knowledge of pricing, routing, and vehicle types (open trucks, containers, trailers). Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. KPIs / Metrics: Number of new FTL/PTL clients onboarded. Monthly freight volume (in tons or trips). Revenue generated per account.
