Job Summary: We seek a dynamic Technical Counselor to engage prospective students through walk-ins and phone inquiries, explain technical course offerings, recommend IT programs based on student backgrounds and interests, and drive enrollments through effective sales and follow-up strategies. Key Responsibilities: Greet walk-in students and handle phone/online inquiries professionally. Explain technical courses (e.g., Java Full stack, Data Science) clearly, aligning recommendations with student goals and backgrounds. Use persuasive sales techniques to convert inquiries into enrollments. Follow up rigorously via calls/emails to secure enrollments. Assess student backgrounds to suggest suitable technical courses. Maintain accurate records in CRM systems for inquiries and follow-ups. Stay updated on tech industry trends to provide credible course advice. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field (e.g., Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business). Diploma/certification in sales or technical training considered with relevant experience. Experience: 1-3 years in sales, customer service, or student-facing roles within technical training, EdTech, or IT-related environments. Preference: Experience in technical training institutes or EdTech organizations (e.g., coding bootcamps, programming courses, IT certification providers). Note: Experience in school or academic counseling is not relevant for this role. Skills: Fluent English communication (verbal and written) to explain technical courses clearly. Strong sales and persuasion skills to close enrollments. Basic technical knowledge (e.g., programming, data science, cloud computing) to discuss courses confidently. Empathy and active listening to understand student needs and goals. Organizational skills for managing inquiries, follow-ups, and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho). Proficiency in MS Office or Google Suite. Other: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; flexibility for occasional weekends.
