Job Description

As a Structural Draughtsman, you'll work closely with structural engineers and architects to turn design concepts into accurate, buildable technical drawings. You'll ensure compliance with building codes, support project coordination, and maintain high-quality documentation. 🛠️ Responsibilities Prepare detailed structural drawings (plans, elevations, cross-sections) for concrete, steel, and reinforced structures using CAD/BIM tools Collaborate with engineers and architects to refine design intent and incorporate feedback Ensure drawings comply with relevant building codes, project specifications, and industry standards Revise and update drawings based on peer review or site coordination Produce 3D models and fabrication-level details using tools like Revit, AutoCAD, or others Conduct site visits to verify dimensions and gather as-built data Maintain accurate documentation and version control of drawings and project files Perform quality checks, coordinate with construction teams, and assist in material take-offs 🎓 Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, or a related field Proficiency with CAD and BIM tools: AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation; knowledge of structural analysis tools (ETABS, STAAD, SAP2000) Familiarity with local/regional building codes and construction practices . Certification (e.g., Certified CAD Technician, Autodesk Certified User) is a plus 🧠 Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, materials, and construction methods Detail-oriented with excellent spatial visualization and precision in drafting Ability to interpret technical documents, sketches, and engineers’ calculations . Effective coordination skills with engineers, architects, contractors, and site personnel . Solid documentation habits and time management—managing multiple revisions and deliveries Good communication skills—capable of explaining drawing details and responding to feedback .
