Main Purpose :

To support the company’s production targets by efficiently managing workshop operations, providing timely mechanical services to relevant departments, and ensuring safe, reliable, and optimum availability of plant equipment through systematic maintenance practices and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Workshop Management:

• Timely execution of workshop activities, including machining, drilling, and other mechanical works as requested by maintenance teams.
• Coordinate with plant maintenance engineers to prioritize and complete workshop jobs aligned with plant operations.

Documentation & Compliance:

• Maintain accurate equipment maintenance history in SAP.
• Record LLF (Lesson Learned Framework) checklists, PSV testing reports, and related documentation.
• Ensure availability and updating of critical documents like Cause & Effect matrices, O&M manuals, data sheets, and control system drawings.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

• Ensure strict adherence to safe maintenance practices.
• Follow Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems and conduct regular toolbox talks with the workshop team.
• Promote a culture of safety compliance and awareness within the team.

Reliability Improvement:

• Participate in Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) initiatives.
• Periodically review Preventive Maintenance (PM) task lists and SMPs (Standard Maintenance Procedures).
• Implement and monitor lubrication schedules and recommend improvements for equipment performance and reliability.

Audit & Quality Compliance:

• Act as coordinator for internal and external audits.
• Ensure timely liquidation of audit findings and improvement actions.

Skills & Competency Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of mechanical equipment used in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Chemical plants.
• Working knowledge of Cause & Effect Matrix and condition monitoring techniques.
• Expertise in SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) and MM (Materials Management) modules.
• Strong documentation, troubleshooting, and coordination skills.
• Ability to share knowledge and build technical capability within the team.

B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering
