Could you be the full-time Supplier Product Quality Development (SPQD) Engineer in [LOCATION] we’re looking for?
Take on a new challenge and apply your supplier quality and product development expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside driven and collaborative teammates.
You'll ensure supplier product and process quality during the development phase, ensuring compliance with Alstom’s rigorous standards. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, procurement, and project teams), monitor supplier deliverables, and contribute to the validation of industrial capabilities, and much more.You’ll specifically take care of delivering project quality activities for critical purchased parts, but also drive supplier quality risk assessments and follow-up on supplier action plans.We’ll look to you for:
- Monitoring quality during the supplier product/process development phase to ensure compliance with Alstom requirements
- Delivering project quality activities for critical purchased parts, from the Supplier Part List release to successful First Article Inspection (FAI) approval
- Performing supplier quality risk assessments at the business award stage
- Ensuring Alstom quality requirements are met before the “Go Order” milestone
- Validating supplier manufacturing processes and supporting “Go/No-Go” decisions for production and train validation
- Following up on supplier deliverables via the Supplier Quality Portal (SQP) and driving suppliers to meet FAI Go On Time targets
- Performing handovers to Supplier Quality Serial Life after FAI Go and initial successful deliveries
- Triggering supplier escalation processes when deliverables are at risk and leading problem-solving efforts
- Evaluating supplier maturity through FMEA, control plans, skills matrices, and other assessments
- Contributing to resolving critical non-conformities and warranty issues with suppliers
- Preparing first delivery requirements for incoming inspections

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 6–7 years of experience in supplier quality or product/process development
- Knowledge of railway standards and industry practices
- Familiarity with tools like FMEA, control plans, and supplier quality portals
- A strong understanding of Development for Quality (DFQ) processes
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive supplier performance
- Strong problem-solving and risk assessment skills
