Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Purchase Engineer to lead procurement activities for our solar ground-mount projects. The ideal candidate will manage vendor coordination, material procurement, rate negotiations, and timely delivery to ensure seamless project execution across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Planning: Understand project BOQ and technical requirements to create a comprehensive procurement schedule aligned with project timelines.
• Vendor Coordination: Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with vendors for materials such as solar modules, inverters, mounting structures, cables, transformers, switchgear, etc.
• Price Negotiation & Comparison: Obtain and analyze quotations; negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery timelines, and warranties to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• PO Issuance: Prepare and release purchase orders; track order confirmation, dispatch, and delivery.
• Delivery & Logistics: Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of materials to project sites; resolve logistics and transportation issues in coordination with vendors and site engineers.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of vendor interactions, purchase orders, invoices, and warranty certificates.
• Quality Compliance: Work with QA/QC and project teams to ensure all procured materials meet technical and quality standards.
• Cost Control: Monitor budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and timelines.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Liaise with engineering, planning, and execution teams for technical clarifications and material priorities.
• Market Intelligence: Stay updated on market trends, price movements, and alternate vendors to ensure competitive procurement.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• Proven experience in procurement for solar EPC or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar project components (modules, MMS, inverters, cables, etc.)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and ERP systems (SAP/Tally/Zoho).
• Ability to manage multiple vendors and fast-paced project demands.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset with a solution-oriented approach.

Desirable:

• Experience in handling solar MW-scale projects (minimum 5 MW and above preferred)
• Familiarity with logistics coordination and basic understanding of taxation (GST, CST, freight billing)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
