Site Supervisor

Job Title: Site Supervisor – Highway/Road Projects Location: Project Site (Maharashtra / PAN India) Department: Project Execution Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: The Site Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day supervision and monitoring of on-site highway and roadway construction activities. With 3–5 years of hands-on experience, the candidate should be able to coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and workers to ensure timely execution, safety, and quality compliance at the project site. Key Responsibilities: Site Execution and Supervision Supervise daily construction work like earthwork, subgrade, GSB, WMM, DBM, BC, side drains, and structures Ensure that the work is carried out as per drawings, specifications, and instructions Monitor deployment of manpower, materials, and machinery on site Maintain work discipline, timelines, and productivity of the labour force Quality and Safety Monitoring Ensure all work is performed as per MORTH/IRC guidelines and quality standards Conduct basic checks (levels, alignment, compaction, etc.) Ensure safety of workers and enforce use of PPE on site Report unsafe practices and hazards immediately Coordination and Reporting Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and material suppliers Maintain site registers such as DPR (Daily Progress Report), Labour Report, Material Received Register, etc. Report daily progress, delays, and site issues to the Site Engineer or Project Manager Assist in work planning for the next day and monitor execution Material and Resource Management Supervise unloading, stacking, and usage of construction materials Prevent material wastage and ensure proper use of tools and equipment Support storekeeper in maintaining daily consumption and stock updates Support for Measurement and Billing Assist in taking measurements for subcontractor billing Maintain records of quantities executed at site Support documentation required for client inspections and billing Qualifications and Experience: Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering / ITI Civil or equivalent Experience: 3 to 5 years in highway/roadway construction projects Knowledge of road construction activities and basic technical drawings Familiar with MORTH/IRC specifications. Basic computer and documentation skills preferred.
