Job Title: Highway Manager Location: Project Site / Regional Office (Maharashtra / PAN India) Department: Project Execution – Highways Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: The Highway Manager is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and supervision of highway construction and maintenance activities. With over 10 years of experience, the individual should demonstrate strong technical expertise in road infrastructure, team leadership, and coordination with consultants, contractors, and government agencies. The role ensures timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost-effective project execution. Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Execution Lead and manage all phases of highway construction including earthwork, subgrade, GSB, WMM, DBM, and BC Ensure that project milestones and timelines are met as per approved work programs Review drawings, DPRs, and technical specifications for field implementation Ensure efficient utilization of machinery, manpower, and materials Quality Assurance and Control Monitor and implement quality standards as per MORTH, IRC, and project specifications Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure proper testing and documentation Resolve site execution issues and prevent rework or non-conformities Contractor and Team Coordination Supervise site engineers, subcontractors, and execution teams Conduct daily and weekly meetings to review progress and resource planning Evaluate performance and provide technical guidance to junior staff Liaison and Compliance Coordinate with client representatives, consultants, and statutory bodies Ensure compliance with contractual, safety, and environmental norms Support in audits, inspections, and progress review meetings Reporting and Documentation Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports Maintain site records including measurement books, RFI logs, and correspondence Report critical issues, delays, and project risks to senior management Budget and Cost Monitoring Monitor work progress against planned budgets Identify opportunities to reduce wastage and enhance cost efficiency Assist in billing, BOQ review, and change order documentation Qualifications and Experience: Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory) Experience: Minimum 10 years in highway/road construction projects Strong knowledge of highway project lifecycle and execution Proficient in MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD, and Excel Familiarity with IRC, MORTH specifications, and project billing Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
