Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Administrator to manage and secure our server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in system administration, server hardening, and IT security best practices. This role involves ensuring system reliability, security, and performance across all server environments. Key Responsibilities: Implement server hardening procedures to secure operating systems, applications, and network configurations. Conduct regular security audits and apply necessary security patches and updates. Manage and configure firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other security solutions. Ensure compliance with industry standards and frameworks such as CIS Benchmarks, NIST, and ISO 27001. Monitor server logs and performance metrics to identify and mitigate potential security threats. Collaborate with IT, network, and application teams to maintain secure and efficient server environments. Maintain detailed documentation of server configurations, security policies, and hardening procedures. Assist in disaster recovery planning and support the resolution of server-related security incidents. Stay informed on the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in system administration with a focus on security. Strong understanding of Windows and Linux server environments. Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems. Familiarity with compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001). Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Relevant certifications such as RHCE, MCSE, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP are a plus.
