Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack)

Cvent’s R&D is currently looking for a talented Lead Software Engineer to join our Microapps team. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of TypeScript, Java, GraphQL, Next.js, React, Tailwind and experience building for builders. You should be a self-starter capable of taking ambiguous requirements and coming up with a viable solution. You should also be able to design scalable, high-performance solutions that empower our product development teams to create world-class products. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to design, build, maintain and support our Microapps team. What You Will Be Doing: • Contribute directly to the evolution of framework features and capabilities that achieve improvement in resilience, scalability, security and product developer velocity. • Showcase strong architecture and design instincts in order to collaborate with technical leadership and other cross functional teams to develop and execute on roadmap. • Support consuming teams as they adopt, upgrade and utilize the development framework to create solutions. • Proactively stays ahead of emerging technologies and trends to anticipate future challenges and opportunities. • Consistently look for ways to remove friction to ensuring a desirable experience for our customers – the developer What You Will Need for this Position: Primary Skills: • Bachelors+ in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience • 4 to 7 years of Software Development experience • Highly proficient in at least one object-oriented language: Java is a plus • Highly proficient in JavaScript or Typescript for web application development • Experience in CI/CD concepts, knowing how to configure and manage pipelines to ensure that software updates are deployed quickly, safely and efficiently. • Some experience with AWS services including Cloudfront, ECS, S3, DynamoDB and others • Strong passion for Software development, and taking pride in your craft • Experience building framework libraries is a plus • Fluent in written and spoken English Preferred Skills: • Experience presenting ideas, techniques, or approaches to other team members • Experience in full stack development ranging from front-end user interfaces to backend systems • Experience with Node.js and Next.js • Experience with AWS • Experience with Nrwl/Nx Show more Show less
