Senior Merchandiser

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Merchandiser to join our export house specializing in baby home textile products. The role requires end-to-end ownership of merchandising operations — from development and sampling to order execution — for international clients. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of textile-based baby products, global buyer requirements, and export procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage buyer communications for international accounts, including leading baby and nursery brands.
• Coordinate the development of baby textile products such as bedding sets, swaddles, quilts, playmats, bibs, and other nursery essentials.
• Review and interpret buyer tech packs and ensure accurate execution of samples and bulk orders.
• Prepare and manage time & action (T&A) calendars to ensure timely approvals and production readiness.
• Collaborate closely with design, sourcing, production, and QA teams to manage sampling and production workflows.
• Prepare costings, negotiate pricing, and oversee all approvals for fabrics, trims, labels, and packaging.
• Ensure all product specifications, safety standards, and packaging requirements are met as per international norms (especially for infant products).
• Conduct internal checks and coordinate with QA for inline and final inspections.
• Maintain meticulous documentation including buyer communications, order trackers, and approval logs.
• Stay updated with global baby product trends and buyer expectations to support collection development.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in export merchandising — preferably handling baby or children’s textile products.
• In-depth knowledge of baby-safe fabrics, trims, and compliance standards (GOTS, OEKO-TEX, etc. preferred).
• Familiarity with export documentation, production timelines, and international quality expectations.
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English (written and verbal).
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and merchandising coordination tools.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously.

Work Schedule:

• 6 days/week (Monday to Saturday)
• On-site, full-time role

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
