Senior IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer

Ensures all necessary software components and hardware are seamlessly integrated and functioning properly to support data-driven operational systems. This position requires the ability to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve technology issues, configure and maintain computer equipment, and support a variety of industry-standard tools and software systems. Conducts complex work important to the organization. Contributes to measurable team and/or organizational objectives.

Essential Functions

• Designs and implements infrastructure hardware
• Manages core software components such as MS Active Directory and Exchange
• Evaluates and recommends near- and long-term capacity needs
• Monitors and tests performance and provides performance statistics and reports
• Participates in security and compliance audits
• Resolves trouble tickets
• Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to systems configuration
• Conducts research on products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments
• Practices asset management, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation
• Mentors infrastructure team members

Additional Specific Duties and Responsibilities

· On call/afterhours support as needed

Required Qualifications

• Experience working with physical and virtual infrastructure
• In depth understanding of storage, file shares
• Strong understanding of backup and recovery procedures
• 10+ years hands-on administration of Windows Server operating systems
• Architecting solutions for high-availability, disaster recovery, and security
• Experience with industry standard backup and disaster recovery products and procedures

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

· Linux experience

· Unified Communications experience

· Citrix experience

· Cloud services (AWS, O365, etc)

MCSE or similar industry certifications
