Kumaran has two verticals in product portfolio. Being a metal fabrication industry, we offer Fabricated components for Industries like Indian and European railways, Electrical Heavy machine industries and blowers for Industrial applications.

In first vertical: We manufacture Traction Transformer Fabricated tank for Railways and Cooling Fan, Heat Exchangers for High Voltage motors and Generators Manufactures. We are certified with EN 15085-2 and Wet Painting.

In second Vertical: We design and manufacture the Blowers & cooling units for several Industries along with test services.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Proposal & Estimation Mechanical Engineer. The position is located in Bhopal. We are seeking an experienced minimum 4 to 5 years in the industrial product sector, with a preference for candidates who have exposure to centrifugal/Axial fans. The ideal candidate should be proactive and self-driven, with a strong ability to coordinate with the factory for any pre- or post-customer clarifications.

The primary responsibilities include creating detailed sales proposals and estimations, conducting mechanical design tasks, utilizing CAD software for design purposes, and managing various projects. The role also requires conducting research and development to innovate and improve engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Relevant 4+ industry experience is a plus
• Mechanical Engineering and Machine Design skills
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software, SolidWorks etc.
• Project Management experience
• Research and Development (R&D) capabilities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Read and comprehend customer enquiries.
• Interpret customer's RFQ and project specifications, review and evaluation of customer offers.
• Prepare Centrifugal Fan/Axial Fan techno-commercial proposals globally
• To support the Engineering Team with the development of the cost, customers and supplier databases, pricelist, and libraries.
• Product Selection & Equipment Sizing based on the customer requirement
• Preparing quotes and Developing cost estimates for projects based on client specifications
• Performing engineering tasks such as developing designs, creating models, and conducting tests to ensure that designs meet specifications
• Communicating with clients to gather information about their needs and preferences regarding design solutions
• Conducting feasibility studies to evaluate whether a project is economically sound
• Developing construction schedules and budgets for each phase of a project
• Meeting with potential clients,
• Generating potential leads,
• Closing orders at a good profitability margin.
