QA Manager – EV Industry

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Manager with a strong background in the EV industry. The ideal candidate will lead quality operations across the product lifecycle, ensure supplier and production quality, support continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with IATF 16949:2016, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Quality Management

Evaluate supplier capabilities and conduct site verifications with Vendor Development (VD).

Monitor and improve supplier performance to meet company quality standards.

Identify and onboard new component suppliers and subcontractors in coordination with Production and VD.

Process & Product Quality

Daily in-process analysis of failure components (IPF) and take corrective/preventive action.

Lead root cause analysis of field failures and customer complaints; participate in CCA meetings.

Issue stop-ship/stop-production orders for nonconforming or suspect products.

Quality Systems & Documentation

Prepare and maintain Control Plans, PFMEA, PFDs, and ensure alignment with IATF 16949:2016 requirements.

Prepare and manage Measurement System Analysis (MSA), PPAP documentation, and calibration of MTEs.

Maintain NCPR and 8D reports for internal and external quality issues.

Customer Interface

Review customer complaints, returns, and field failures with respective process owners and stakeholders.

Coordinate with Marketing and Customer Teams to capture statutory and product safety requirements.

Interact with customers for PPAP approvals and changes to engineering specifications (ECNs/PCNs).

Audit & Compliance

Develop and execute annual audit plans for product and process audits.

Drive internal and external audits; ensure compliance with IATF 16949:2016 and customer-specific requirements (CSRs).

Conduct PFMEA and risk assessments on rework, repair, and technical deviations.

Continuous Improvement & Lean Initiatives

Implement quality and lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis, and statistical process control.

Drive cross-functional teams (CFTs) for problem-solving and engineering change management.

Apply statistical tools for process capability analysis (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk).

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's in Electronics & Communication Engineering (B.Tech – ECE) or Diploma with relevant experience.

10 to 15+ years of QA experience in the EV/automotive/electronics manufacturing domain.

Hands-on knowledge of IATF 16949, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans.

Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Proficient in English and Hindi (mandatory); Telugu preferred.
