Production Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION: The position will be responsible for production & process quality for Aerial Work Platform manufacturing facility at the Greater Noida site. (Assembly & Testing) Key functional responsibilities / experience required : 1) Ensuring the on time delivery of machines to Sales as per agreed plan. 2) Achieving budgeted production numbers, productivity, quality, safety & manufacturing cost targets. 3) Driving initiatives on Team Leaders & associates training, development, engagement, motivation. 4) Leading daily production/Rework & Rejection/ Defect reduction. Driving action plan to achieve the set targets. 5) Continuously improve production processes to achieve the First Pass Yield target on machines offered to Quality. 6) Leading & driving continuous improvement for safety, ergonomics, productivity, quality, cost, 5S, OEE. 7) Interaction & Coordination with Planning/ SCM/ Store/ Quality / Fabrication/ Paintline for identifying & resolving the roadblocks for schedule adherence. 8) Preparation for annual production budget covering consumables/manpower/tools.. & ensuring adherence to budget. 9) Torquing tool management & calibration. 10) Quality system management / MIS / Safety & People leadership. 11) Loss hours monitoring and driving improvement. Educational Qualification: BE/ B.Tech Mechanical / Electrical from a reputed college Professional Experience: 12-16 year’s experience in independently handling Assembly lines as Production Head for passenger vehicle/ commercial vehicles, Earthmoving Equipment, Tractor, Agri Equipments OEM companies Technical / Soft skills: - Good people management skills. - Advance level knowledge of construction equipment / commercial vehicle assembly process, components and machine systems. - Through knowledge of the Quality Systems, Defect reduction, First Pass yield improvement. - Ability to lead cross functional teams for continuous improvement. - Excellent Teamwork and coordination Skills. - Demonstrated experience in ramping up production volumes and Line efficiency improvement. - Knowledge & implementation experience of Lean manufacturing tools & techniques. - Knowledge of budgeting process and control. - Demonstrated ability on implementing 5S and continuous improvement drive. - Good communication skills.
