To lead group wide risk assessments, audits, training activities and development of Group Process Safety Policies /Procedures/Guidance Documents In Driving Process Safety activities by partnering within a Geographical region and being main point of contact for several applicable process sites. Responsibilities To track and press for onsite completion of high-risk actions from various risk assessment activities for each site. To contribute relevant (Process Critical) MOCs activities and ensure quality risk assessments /PSSRs are performed. To support and mentor P&OS Engineers / Site PS Resource to improve their understanding on Process Safety activities. To regularly review and ensure accuracy and robust implementation, analyse trends, and develop improvement plans based on key Process Safety Indicators. To ensure on time completion of PSM programs to meet target dates, e.g. PHRs. To monitor progress and support for key PSM training programmes in the region. To advise on response to Process Safety incidents and facilitate root cause analysis for major PS incidents and sharing of lessons learned. To carry out periodic audits/inspections during site visits to maintain focus on Process Safety. To improve and develop Process Safety practices to ensure they are embedded and sustainable and driving Process Safety Culture Excellence. To provide advice on impact of local /global regulations and standards in leading Group wide Process Safety activities. To lead and carry out QA reviews on Hazard studies (HAZOP, PHA, LOPA, SCTA etc) and risk assessments (RHA, DHA, HACRA, QRA etc) on applicable UPL sites. To facilitate and provide expertise for the development of design of capital projects to ensure inherently safer design of new projects. To be key member in Process Safety audits to assess site’s compliance with Group PSM policies and guidance. To lead the development and update of Group level PSRM systems and practices. To assess and mentor internal /external Hazard Study leaders to progress from Trainee to Practitioner. To develop and facilitate Process Safety training programmes to improve awareness and understanding using Group resources/ external consultants. To become “Subject Matter Expert” on selected Process Safety topics to provide authoritative advice. To collaborate with Sector / Group PS network to share learning and best practice.
