Role Summary:

As an L1 Platform Technician in the OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) Monitoring & Support Operations team, you will play a critical role in 24x7 platform monitoring, performing daily operational tasks, basic triage, and escalating incidents. You'll ensure stability and health across containerized workloads using a modern DevOps toolchain and cloud-native platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform 24x7 monitoring of OpenShift clusters, nodes, pods, and services using oc CLI and OpenShift Console.
• Execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conduct routine health checks for platform components.
• Triage incidents and alerts at Level 1; escalate issues to Level 2 support when necessary.
• Assist with routine administrative tasks such as:
• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Project creation and management
• ConfigMap modifications
• Perform and verify scheduled backups and maintenance tasks.
• Generate and maintain daily and weekly platform health reports.

• 1–3 years of experience in platform support or monitoring roles
• Hands-on experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes (basic level)
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools
• Ability to follow SOPs and escalate technical issues appropriately
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts (including night and weekend coverage)
• Strong analytical and communication skills
