Nursing incharge

Job Summary:

The Nursing Incharge is responsible for supervising nursing staff, coordinating patient care activities, ensuring adherence to clinical standards, and maintaining a high standard of nursing practice in the assigned unit. The role serves as a vital link between the nursing team and hospital administration.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of nurses and support staff in the unit.
• Allocate duties and responsibilities to ensure smooth shift operations and adequate staffing.
• Monitor patient care and nursing practices to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
• Ensure timely documentation, medication administration, and patient record updates.
• Assist in clinical procedures and emergencies when required.
• Conduct regular training sessions and skill assessments for nursing staff.
• Maintain discipline, resolve team conflicts, and manage staff grievances efficiently.
• Ensure strict compliance with hospital protocols, infection control, and NABH/JCI standards.
• Coordinate with doctors, allied departments, and administrative teams for seamless patient care.
• Monitor inventory of medical supplies, linen, and equipment; raise requisitions as needed.
• Participate in audits, quality checks, and report preparation.

Qualifications Required:

• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / M.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Registration with State Nursing Council is mandatory.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent patient care and clinical knowledge.
• Good interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to handle pressure and resolve conflicts.
• Familiarity with hospital quality standards (NABH/ISO/JCI).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹33,491.39 per month
