Network and Hardware Engineer

Job Title: L2 Hardware and Network Security Engineer (Night Shift)
Job Timing: 06:30 PM IST – 03:30 AM IST

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced L2 Hardware and Network Security Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience, especially in Sophos Firewall management and complex networking environments. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security, stability, and high availability of our IT infrastructure during night operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mandatory: Hands-on experience with Sophos Firewall – configuring, managing, and troubleshooting firewall rules, NAT, VPNs, and security policies.
• Diagnose and resolve complex network issues involving routing, switching, VLANs, and firewall integrations.
• Monitor network performance and ensure optimal uptime, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Windows Server environments (2019 and earlier), including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and file shares.
• Manage and support servers, network devices, and storage systems.
• Escalate and resolve critical issues in coordination with the L1 team and other stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation for firewall rules, network architecture, system changes, and standard procedures.
• Ensure all infrastructure complies with internal policies and security standards.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in hardware, networking, and firewall security.
• Proven expertise in Sophos Firewall is mandatory (other firewall platforms are an added advantage).
• Solid understanding of network design, VPNs, access control, and security principles.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and diagnostic utilities.
• Ability to work independently in a night shift environment with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Note: This is a night shift position (06:30 PM IST – 03:30 AM IST). Availability during these hours is required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
