Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement the national modern trade sales strategy aligned with overall business goals.
  • Identify opportunities for growth within modern trade channels.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to stay ahead of trends.

2. Key Account Management:

  • Build and nurture relationships with key modern trade chains (e.g., Reliance Retail, Big Bazaar, DMart, Spencer’s, Metro, etc.)
  • Negotiate and finalize Annual Operating Plans (AOPs), trade terms, JBP (Joint Business Plans), and promotions.
  • Manage National & Regional Key Accounts efficiently.

3. Sales Operations:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the modern trade channel.
  • Drive product listings, shelf share, planograms, and visibility initiatives.
  • Ensure timely execution of promotional activities and new product launches.

4. Team Leadership:

  • Lead, train, and motivate a team of Key Account Managers and Sales Executives.
  • Set performance benchmarks and conduct regular reviews.

5. Budgeting & P&L:

  • Monitor trade spends and promotional budgets.
  • Analyze ROI of promotional campaigns and ensure cost-effectiveness.

6. Supply Chain Coordination:

  • Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure product availability and timely deliveries.
  • Forecast demand and manage inventory for key accounts.

  • In-depth understanding of modern trade dynamics in FMCG/Beverages
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Sales/CRM tools

KPI Metrics:

  • Sales volume and revenue growth in modern trade
  • Number of outlets activated and retained
  • ROI on trade marketing investments
  • Fill rate and on-shelf availability
  • New product penetration in modern trade
  • Key account relationship satisfaction

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
