Microsoft security engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled M365 Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage security solutions within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Microsoft Defender, Purview, Sentinel, Intune, and Azure AD security to protect organizational data, identities, and cloud workloads. Key Responsibilities: Microsoft 365 Security Administration: Configure and manage security solutions such as Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, and Defender for Cloud Apps . Identity & Access Management (IAM): Implement Azure AD security features , including Conditional Access, MFA, Identity Protection, and Privileged Identity Management (PIM) . Security Monitoring & Incident Response: Utilize Microsoft Sentinel for SIEM/SOAR operations, analyze security incidents, and respond to threats. Data Protection & Compliance: Implement Microsoft Purview solutions for DLP, Information Protection, eDiscovery, and Compliance Manager . Endpoint Security & Intune: Secure Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices using Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager . Threat Hunting & Vulnerability Management: Perform threat hunting, log analysis, and vulnerability assessments to proactively mitigate risks. Security Best Practices & Governance: Develop security policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and HIPAA standards. Collaboration & Automation: Work with IT teams to integrate security automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API . Required Skills & Experience: 1-1.5years of experience in Microsoft 365 Security, Azure Security, or a related role . Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Defender Suite, Azure AD Security, Intune, and Sentinel . Strong knowledge of Zero Trust security model, IAM, RBAC, and compliance frameworks . Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation tools . Experience with incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management . Certifications such as MS-500, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, AZ-500 will be bonus Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹10,962.78 - ₹25,000.00 per month Benefits: Paid sick time Schedule: Day shift Work Location: In person
